2012 PPWSL Tournament – Congrats Titans!

TOURNAMENT FINAL: congratulations PPWSL players and officers on another amazing, season ending tournament! Despite Saturday’s rain, the League was able to hold a successful, well organized and well played, single elimination tournament on Sunday. This year’s tournament was won by the Titans in a closely contested final with last year’s tournament champion, the Flamingos, 3-2.

UPDATE DAY 2: Games are on! League officers checked the fields early on the morning of Sunday, 9/9 and two are playable. The Tournament will be played as a single elimination tournament beginning with the complete of Saturday’s games at 9:15am and 10:15am on fields 4 and 5.

UPDATE DAY 1: The first day of the 2012 PPWSL Tournament was washed out on Saturday, 9/8. The games that started at 9am were formally suspended due to rain by 10:45am. League officers will check the fields early on Sunday morning and send an email to let teams know (a) if games can be played and (b) what the tournament format will be.

Once the situation has been assessed and, hopefully, a bracket chosen, League officers will let team representatives know what fields, if any, the League will play on this Sunday and what the game start times will be. It is possible the League will start play later than indicated on the brackets that have been distributed to representatives. Everything will depend on field conditions.
